No, we do
not pray to her in worship, but we talk to her while we pray, asking her to intercede on
our behalf. We do not only talk to Saint Mary but also to angels
(Psa 103:20-21, 148:1-2), nature
(Psa 148:3-9), people
(Psa 147:12-13, 87:3, 47:1, 46:8, 146:8, 103:22,
113:1, 29:1-3) and to ourselves (Psa
103:1-5, 42:5). We even talk to devils
(Psa 6). This is acceptable and even
taken from the divine scripture. So as long as the Divine teachings tell us
to talk to all these, then it is not wrong to talk to our mother the Virgin
Saint Mary without considering it a prayer of worship.
Do we pray (worship) to
Saint Mary?
