A few decades ago,
there was a saintly priest, filled with the fruit of the Spirit, in the
countryside of Egypt. During the sanctification of the Holy Sacraments,
someone told him that there was an elder in the church who was planning to
visit Jerusalem. The priest called the old man and asked him, “Why do you
want to do that?” He replied, “I want to see the Light of Christ (that
emits out of His grave every Easter).” The priest then asked one of his
deacons to hand him an unlit candle. He then uncovered the chalice and
approached the candle close to it, and it lit up. He then gave it to the old
man, saying. “This is the Light of Christ, who is with us every day on the
Altar.”
